Description

Come join the PhotoShelter team! We’re looking for a marketing-oriented visual designer who will be responsible for developing highly engaging digital, web, and occasionally print communications that resonate with our target audience and drive revenue for our business.

Based in Union Square, PhotoShelter is a growing technology company and is the worldwide leader in portfolio websites and online tools for professional photographers. You’ll get to work with like-minded, creative individuals who are passionate about problem solving, research, marketing, and of course photography. You must be a self-starter who can take initiative on projects and enjoys collaborating closely with other designers, marketers, product strategists, and engineers.

Responsibilities:
Lead design for marketing-related projects, including producing full layouts (typographic, photographic and illustrative elements) and final production assets for micro-sites, website optimization tests, online banners, emails, print advertising, etc.;
Create the visual identity for multi-channel campaigns;
Define full-cycle user experience as it connects marketing efforts to product strategy;
Contribute to marketing strategy by conducting design research and proposing design ideas for marketing and advertising concepts;
Manage all projects from start to finish in order to meet established deadlines;
Take on ad hoc design projects as needed.

Requirements:
A portfolio showcasing diverse creative experience with an emphasis on web and interactive design;
Highly proficient with Adobe CS5 Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator;
A collaborative, creative spirit who works well in a high energy, multi-tasking, interdisciplinary environment;
Some fluency in HTML & CSS and enthusiasm for/interest in photography is a big plus!
