Joonbug is seeking a non-paid intern in our New York City office to support our Public Relations department. Responsibilities: assist Director with media alerts and press releases, media outreach and finding new PR sources, compile press clippings, contact the featured venues, events, companies, people, etc. featured on our blogs for link backs, establish relationships with other blogs and help to enhance blog roll, build social media strategies for sites such as Facebook and Twitter to gain exposure, and manage giveaways and Joonbug member benefits on Joonbug website and all social media platforms.
Action Against Hunger. Community Outreach Intern. College Credit.
Action Against Hunger (ACF-USA) is part of ACF International, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger. As part of the External Relations department, the Community Outreach Intern is responsible for assisting in expanding and developing our Race Against Hunger program beyond the classroom and into new markets. The Community Outreach Intern works with the Community Outreach Officer and Coordinator on our annual Race Against Hunger (“Race”) to find new prospective participants for the Race including youth groups, community groups, after-school programs and more. The goal of this research is to bring the Race into new arenas that have yet to be explored.

Over the summer, UncommonGoods hosts a large marketing event in New York City to introduce editors from national magazines and online publications to their holiday products at a time when they are planning their December issues. UncommonGoods is seeking a paid summer intern. Responsibilities include: request product samples from our vendors to showcase at the event, manage the delivery and storage of samples, organize pre-event set-up, assemble guest gift bags, and assist with event check-in.
