Advertising Sales Intern. Monthly stipend. We are looking for one Advertising Sales Intern to be an integral part of our NYC sales team. This position will interact with all members of the NYC team and support every aspect of the pre- and post-sales processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter interested in gaining experience at a digital media start-up. Responsibilities will include assembling sales materials and presentations in response to proposal requests, developing marketing materials for the Sales team to bring to their clients, and researching new trends in digital media. The Huffington Post. HuffPost Culture Intern. Paid. This is a great opportunity to learn all of the ins and outs of new media and get hands-on exposure to how our website works. There is no clerical work involved; it is virtually all content creation, and the Culture Intern will have opportunities to pitch articles and posts. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in culture, from movies and music to TV and art, as well as a familiarity with current cultural news. Photo Internship. Unpaid. Throughout the year, Art Director John Dixon employs full-time interns to work in the Art and Photo department. Photo Interns help arrange photo shoots, shoot assignments, and conduct photo research and trafficking. Applications are usually accepted four times per year to coincide with academic terms. Fall 2012 Internship. Unpaid. E! is television’s top destination for all things entertainment and celebrity. Responsibilities will include researching, pitching, and updating stories, galleries, and other editorial projects; writing weekly feature lists and blog posts; maintaining Twitter and Facebook pages; engaging in ongoing social media projects; and attending editorial meetings. Editorial Internships. Unpaid. Do you have an interest in comics and the process that gets them from inside creators’ heads into readers’ hands? If so, then this is the internship for you. Marvel offers two types of Editorial internships: Periodicals and Special Projects. As a Periodicals Intern, you will learn how comic book writers’ ideas are transcribed to the printed page. Not only will you help with the editorial process, from the transmittal to receipt of artwork, plots, and scripts, but you will also learn what goes into it, step-by-step. As a Special Projects Intern, you will work in the Bound Book Room and Digital Archives as well as conduct research for the Editorial team, witnessing as several comics come together to form one incredible graphic novel. Account ManagerThe Account Manager will work with a designated Sales team to ensure seamless campaign execution while providing a high level of client service support for assigned advertisers and agencies. Aramis and Designer Fragrances, part of Estée Lauder Companies, is looking for a coordinator to support both the North American PR team and Social Media Director. Responsibilities will include managing social media communities, supporting key social media initiatives, and supporting PR launches, focusing specifically in online media. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of related experience, such as with PR, blogger outreach, community management, and/or social media execution. The Marketing Specialist will support the Integrated Ad Sales Marketing team in the development and execution of various marketing elements and sponsorship packages for specifically assigned Discovery Communications networks.
