National Audubon Society. Environmental Educator.

Audubon is dedicated to protecting birds,  other wildlife, and their habitats, and to conserve and restore natural ecosystems for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity. They are looking for an Environmental Educator to be responsible for implementing their For the Birds program in elementary schools across the NYC metropolitan area, teach curriculum and establish and maintain strong partnerships with schools and other partners. This position will collaborate with the Program Director and related Audubon New York staff to develop appropriate curriculum. Ideal applicants should have demonstrated knowledge of basic natural history and environmental science, have two years of experience working with groups of children of all ages, particularly elementary school age, possess excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a high degree of initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving skills.
