You’ll be working closely with the entire Proper Cloth team and learning about retail sales, operations, customer service, and product design. The opportunity will require 2-5 days per week at the Proper Cloth showroom in SoHo for a minimum of 6 weeks and will be paid ($12/hour). Responsibilities include: preparing sample orders for customers and press; ensuring the showroom is organized and the product is well presented; shiping items to international customers, etc.

The New York Public Library. Curatorial Internship- Prints Department. Paid.

The New York Public Library was created in 1895 with the consolidation of the private libraries of John Jacob Astor and James Lenox with the Samuel Jones Tilden Trust. The Print department has an exciting internship opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience cataloging the Library’s extensive print holdings in TMS (the Library’s collections management database). This is a paid internship funded by the International Fine Print Dealers Association. Interns are expected to work 3-4 days per week. The Summer Internship will run from June-August (dates are flexible) for a total of 8 weeks.
