Every day, we make choices between the difficult and the easy path. Some people go with the easy: stay in their comfort zone, without taking on any challenges. However, no leader is willing to compromise with an easy and comfortable life. If you are a leader, you are willing to speak out, willing to make efforts, and willing to live your life in the taking on challenges that help you grow.

When it comes to class registration for college students, believe it or not, choice of classes really reveals a student’s personality! Some students choose the easy class with the laid back professor because they believe that they will get a higher GPA. In the meantime, leaders always choose harder courses with difficult professors.

All the post-graduates I have met have one thing in common: they all wish they could have gotten more out of college and challenged themselves more. Here are some reasons why you should take the more challenging path:

Easy is boring

No one wants a boring life, however, people still do easy things. Why? Because easy is within our comfort zone. Easy is to do the things we already know. Easy is to stop learning. When we choose the easy way, we are not challenging ourselves. Imagine when you graduate from college, you gain nothing but weight in the four years. How boring it is!

Difficult professors are the ones who care

Almost every professor has more than one job. Professors are busy doing research in their own fields, taking care of their own business, and teaching. Therefore, if you are lucky enough to have a picky professor, impress him/her and make connections. Because they take teaching and students seriously, they are willing to put in time and effort to make sure students can get the most out of their class.

Make college worth the cost

College tuition is skyrocketing. The truth is that lots of students are not able to finish college without a scholarship and student aid. Regardless of the expensive college cost, parents still believe that college gives their kids a better future. Therefore, we should try our best to get the most out of college and to make the tuition worth it!

You’ll Learn Something

Do the things you’ve never done before because that’s when you will learn the most. Ask a professor if he/she needs a teacher assistant, join a club you are passionate about, if your school doesn’t have one, create a club with friends, go to networking events and talk to strangers. if you are willing to try all of above, you will have experiences like never before.

You’ll Feel Accomplished

The process of challenging yourself is often hard. However, when you accomplish the things that you used to believe were impossible, you’ll become a better person. And the pride in accomplishment is one of the most joyful emotions you’ll have. Forget your fear of stepping out of your comfort zone and think about the broader world you will discover!

to-accomplish

The road to success is filled with struggles and failures. After going through all the bumps and holes in the road, a bright future awaits. All the obstacles and failures are lessons to make you a better you.
