How to Hire on Social Media: A Twitter & LinkedIn Workshop for Recruiters, Hiring Managers, & HR Pros
January 7, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
What to Expect
We’re inviting you to have a productive lunch break and join us for a free, virtual workshop to talk about two of our favorite things: Twitter and LinkedIn.
We all know that these are great platforms to connect with others, but we have some of our own expert tips and tricks on how you can use them as efficient, time-saving tools to enhance your recruitment efforts and build your pipeline of young talent.
These tools offer all kinds of features that most people aren’t taking advantage of, and we’re going to give you the inside scoop on all of them.
You will leave knowing how to consistently build your network and pipeline by using Twitter and LinkedIn for yourself.
Some key topics we’ll cover include:
- The difference between posting on LinkedIn and writing a LinkedIn article.
- Pro tips for live-tweeting at events.
- The best tools for scheduling your social media posts.
Not to mention, this is a great opportunity for you to connect with fellow social media-savvy recruiters, hiring managers, and HR professionals.

On top of an in-depth look into how to maximize your time on these social media platforms, we’ll also cover some info on fun and time-saving FindSpark programs like:
- Custom Inside Look events
- Large-scale recruiting events
- Branded content to add value to your recruitment calendar for 2016
- Case studies on how FindSpark employers like HBO, Blue Apron, BuzzFeed, L’Oréal, and Univision have used our resources to meet their objectives in recruitment, diversity, and employer brand exposure.
The workshop will include a 60 minute presentation, followed by 30 minutes for Q&A.
What People Are Saying
“Emily is an amazing combination of dynamism and humility. She lives her message and is truly able to effortlessly connect with her audience to simply convey the importance of a robust network and social media practicality. Her contagious enthusiasm for her field, and her broad social media background serve up tools, tips and a wonderful array of resources.”
– Keesha Cameron, Coordinator of Internships, Queens College
“In less than a year, membership to FindSpark has been instrumental in aiding my internship recruitment goals. I have personally hired multiple interns who within their first few months are all getting outstanding feedback and recommendations for future hire. Beyond the hires, I now have a constant pipe of talent coming to me through events and job postings. I’m the go-to person for referrals when it comes to intern candidates. Not only have I passed along many FindSpark applicants to my counterparts, but I now have a wait list of colleagues who want to join me at future events!”
