Explore Your City with Eventbrite: Join us on Our Tour

In addition to producing our own fantastic events this summer (and year round), we’re thrilled to announce that over the next two months we’ll be attending a variety of events though out the city as part of Eventbrite’s Blogger Tour.

What is Eventbrite? Eventbrite enables people all over the world to plan, promote, and sell out any event. We absolutely love the platform — it’s what we’ve been using to manage our events for the past three years. It’s also a destination for people to discover events — from photography workshops and wine classes to food festival and industry conferences.

What events will we be attending on our tour? They won’t be ones like the events we throw, because heck, we do plenty them. We’ll be exploring many of the different types of events New York City has to offer. Why? Because you can make great connections anywhere, regardless of whether or not it’s an official networking event.

And although meeting people in your industry is always helpful, we also value the importance of going outside your immediate circle to expand your network in interesting directions.

Plus, you might have guessed it, but meeting new people and making friends makes you happier. According to two sociologists, “having happy friends increases your chance of being happy as much as an extra $145,500 a year does.”

We’d love for you to join us on our adventure. Some events we’re attending include TEDxNewYorkLive: Exclusive TEDGlobal Live StreamingVIMEO PRESENTS – Doc NightWeWork Stories Featuring Gary VaynerchukBreaking The Taboo Around Women, Men & Money, and The S.H.E. Summit.

We’ll also be blogging and live tweeting along the way, so check back here and follow the hashtag at #briteblogger.

What have been some of your favorite out-of-the-box events you’ve attended recently? Share with us in the comments.
