A Free 8-Week Intensive Advertising Program for Aspiring Designers and Copywriters Led by Creatives at Grey in Partnership with FindSpark  

Mission Statement

At Grey, we believe in the power of Famously Effective ideas. 

We believe these ideas can and should come from anywhere. 

Our mission is to break down barriers to allow for a more diversified flow of these ideas, while also finding and developing the new Famously Effective voices of Grey and our industry.

FindSpark is thrilled to partner with Grey to give our members access to top advertising pros and mentors through the FAME program. 


FAME is a selective portfolio program for FindSpark members from diverse backgrounds who are creative, hard-working, ambitious, and proactive, but haven't had the opportunity to attend a formal advertising portfolio school.

Students will learn fundamentals of the advertising business in an intimate, inclusive setting and leave with work for their portfolios, new connections, and mentors.

  • Course takes place weekly on Wednesdays, from 6pm-8:30pm, from April 4th - May 23rd at Grey HQ in NYC.
  • Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
  • The deadline to apply is Monday, March 26th at 11:59pm ET.
  • Students will be selected by March 30th

How can I become a FindSpark member and apply for FAME?  

FindSpark is a community of 28,000+ that helps young pros crush their professional development, networking and job hunting through online and offline resources and programs. You can become a member by signing up on our site, findspark.com, or automatically by submitting the interest form to get your application to FAME

Can I apply for this program if I have no formal education or background in advertising, copywriter, or designer?  

Yes! This program is for folks who have shown creativity and that they are proactive through personal projects or non-traditional experience but haven’t been through a formal program.  

Do you have to be enrolled in school to apply?  

No. Whether or not you’re in school, out of school, or what — if any — school you’ve gone to, you can still apply.

Do I need a laptop or specific software to be a part of the program?  

Laptops and software will be provided for you to use in class. You can of course, also use your own if you have one already.  

What if I can’t make every class?  

The course is reserved for folks who can attend all 8 full classes. We encourage you to submit the interest form to receive the FAME application, and in doing so you'll automatically become a FindSpark member and get updates on FAME and our other resources.  

Who is teaching FAME?  

Classes will be taught by various members of Grey.  

Will I have to do work outside of classes?  

Yes. Expect to do about 2-4 hours of “homework” outside of class to take full advantage of the program.
