It’s been 5 years since FindSpark started as just an idea, a concept, and a plan for empowerment. It has since grown into a powerful community of the most ambitious young pros on the planet, and the best employers in NYC ready to harness their talent.

FindSpark has been setting up young pros for career success since 2010.

A throwback to one of our early events

We’re grateful to be a part of the careers of so many. To know your struggles, your goals, and to share in the excitement when you achieve something great. We don’t sugarcoat – we know launching a career in NYC, or anywhere, isn’t easy.

We also know that everything is easier when you have a strong network supporting you. You can find that network in FindSpark.

From our amazing speakers, to our employers and partners, and the community members who are not just here to advance their own careers, but also to find peers to collaborate with and support as well, FindSpark has sparked countless connections over the years.

One of the best ways to strengthen those connections is to say thank you.

To do just that, we’re launching #FindSpark Impact: A Thank You Challenge, a campaign that gives you an excuse to say thank you to those who’ve supported you in your career.

We put together posts for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram that you can share to say thanks. Copy them below, use your favorite social media platform to tag 5 people that you’re grateful to have in your network, and use the hashtag #FindSpark so we can check out your posts. Encourage those 5 people to continue the challenge by reposting!

A simple thank you note like this will help you stand out. When you give back to your network like this, you keep your connections strong and remind people that you’re around, without asking for anything in return.

After you share your #FindSpark Impact challenge, there are a few ways you can say thanks to keep in touch with your network year-round. People don’t always reply, but more often than not, they’ll see that you’re making an effort – and they’ll remember.

• Give back to your mentor by being a kick-ass mentee, and thanking them for their help.
• Stand out to employers in an interview by saying thank you – right away.
• Make your boss want to promote you and give you more challenges by saying thank you for the projects you’re given and what you learn.
• Let your coworkers know that you appreciate them by saying thanks for the work that they do.
