Julie Lorch is a Product Manager at DoSomething.org. She puts her skillz in design thinking and user experience to the test everyday, reducing friction across the organization’s digital landscape and developing new cross-platform features. An advocate for sustainable transportation, Julie published an urban cycling guide in 2011 and bikes to work any time it’s >40 degrees. She holds an MSE in Integrated Product Design from University of Pennsylvania.
Ronald Castro currently works at Expedia, inc. as Market Manager for New York City. With 12 Years + of experience in consumer marketing in consumer packaged goods, banking and hospitality, Ron is responsible for the strategic business development and revenue generation for the hotel sector within the Expedia network of brands.
Prior to Expedia, he worked at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Companies, where for five years he held several brand management and business development positions in the Caribbean, Latin-America and US markets. Contributed to the strategic planning, new product launches, advertising and public relations development of global consumer brands including Neutrogena, Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Lubriderm, Stayfree and Carefree. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Ron worked for 6 years at the financial sector in Puerto Rico, where he led the marketing and product development of consumer banking products.
Ronald holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing & Communications from Boston College and a Masters in Hospitality Management from New York University’s Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management.

She’s produced events from several angles; starting with the world of nightlife to working with one of New York City’s hottest hotel groups. She recently became Vice President and Partner at Kinney Group Events, an event production and consultation firm. With KGE, she now focuses on event design and business development. She enjoys meeting new people and talking about common passions within or outside of the planning industry.
