What We’re Looking For:
GIPHY is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to support the Content Team.
What you'll do:
- Moderate and engage with the social communities across GIPHY’s social media platforms (including, but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and Snapchat).
- Draft social content across all social platforms (Tweets, Facebook +Instagram posts, etc) to grow our evergreen social calendar.
- Assists the Social Media Manager in the development of GIPHY’s social strategy.
- Develops monthly content calendars to drive community engagement for GIPHY.
- Report timely trends in news and pop culture to the Social + Content teams using Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
- Supports Content Team in campaign ideation via brainstorming and tactic write ups.
- This position includes some administrative responsibilities
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of Facebook, Twitter’s internal analytics tools and ability to organize relevant social data.
- Must love making, searching, and sharing GIFs. And, of course, you just KNOW a good GIF when you see one.
- A deep passion for pop culture, and well versed in all trending topics within the cultural zeitgeist.
- Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends).
- Strong writing skills and ability to adapt all social copy to GIPHY’s voice.
- Ability to contribute to and follow the GIPHY editorial, social and content calendars.
