On Saturday, November 9th, more than 35 top creative professionals will be sharing their insight with our community at the fourth installment of Find & Follow Your Passion, our full-day career conference in partnership with Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts.
We’re thrilled to introduce you to one of our speakers, Alex Hughes. He will be speaking on the How to Get the Most out of College panel.
Alex Hughes is currently the Social Media Manager at AOL’s Women’s Lifestyle Group’s style and beauty site, StyleList. In his role, he crafts creative social media campaigns to promote community engagement and brand awareness.
Alex held multiple internships over his undergraduate years at Sarah Lawrence College. Not only was he a proactive student, he was also an outstanding worker. In fact, he was promoted twice within two years at Faster Times Media/The Fast Times: from intern to editorial assistant to assistant editor. Alex also interned for major publishing houses such as Simon & Schuster, working on marketing plans and digital strategies for New York Times bestsellers authors.
In addition to his full-time job, Alex acts as the editor-in-chief of The Homo Life, a new online publication that gives voice to a new generation of gay writers and creators. His writing has appeared in many publications including the Huffington Post, The New York Egotist, and SLC Speaks.
