Meet Courtney Baxter of The OpEd Project at Find & Follow Your Passion on April 6

More than 35 top creative professionals will be sharing their insight with us for Find & Follow Your Passion, our full-day conference taking place on April 6th at The New School. We’re thrilled to introduce you to one of our speakers, Courtney Baxter.

Baxter

Courtney Baxter is Chief Wrangler at The OpEd Project. She manages and develops the myriad programs, ideas, and people that are involved with the organization. Outside of her role at OEP, she is a writer and social innovator, focused primarily on the intersections of queer culture, gender, and society. Her most extensive research has been on gendered violence, cross-cultural feminisms, and queer culture at the university level. While living in Cameroon, she researched and reported on the relationship between prostitution and secondary schools. Her most recent piece on job searching appeared in the New York Times, and she has just launched an online grassroots photography initiative, “Queer in Public.”
