Naima Turner knows a thing or two about fashion and style. Through years of working in various parts of the fashion industry, she has developed a niche to develop style news and tips for various audiences in an effort to help readers enhance their personal style image. Her resume includes: market editing; working behind-the-scenes, styling and assisting with the production of fashion segments for national television shows such as the Today show, The View and A Movie and A Makeover. She was introduced to the literary world, while working for her mentor and former boss, Lloyd Boston. Her book credits include: senior researcher for Boston’s second book, Make Over Your Man (Broadway Books); and for his third book, Before You Put That On (Atria), Ms. Turner created the book title and styled the book’s cover. Before You Put That On also includes an interview with Ms. Turner where she offers insight on shopping characteristics. Prior to that, Ms. Turner worked as a fashion publicist in NYC for various consumer and lifestyle brands.
Currently Ms. Turner runs her own site, Stylepoohbahs.com – which she affectionately refers to as a blogazine. In addition, she contributes style gems of wisdom throughout the web. Each week, she can be found on uptownmagazine.com, where she pens the Star Style column to help readers acquire the looks of their favorite celebrities for their own figures. Ms. Turner is also an Expert Contributor for Sheknows.com, which is crowned as one of Forbes Top 100 sites for women.
Naima Turner is a graduate of the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City.
