Meet Our Summer Marketing & Events Intern: Nicole Monge

The NY Creative Interns staff is very pleased to introduce one of our first-ever summer interns, Nicole Monge.

Nicole is a recent graduate of Elon University, though she’s originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, where her entire family still lives. She has two dogs at home that she’s obsessed with and uploads pictures of constantly.

We were blown away by Nicole’s application. In addition to providing exactly what we asked for in the listing, she submitted a full PDF portfolio which included writing samples and photos from past events she’s planned. We also love her fun Twitter handle, @JumanjiMonge. We’re excited to be a part of Nicole’s first New York City experience, as she’ll be moving here from North Carolina.

Find out more about Nicole in the post below.

mongeWhat part of your summer internship with NY Creative Interns are you looking forward to most?
I am looking forward to gaining insight into the industry, as well as work on social media and events throughout the summer.

If you could hear anyone speak at a future NY Creative Interns event, who would it be?
I think it would be really interesting to hear Anna Wintour. She is such a revolutionary figure in the fashion industry, so to hear her insight could be really interesting.

Favorite social network?
My favorite social network is Twitter, because it provides quick and easy updates. I like the limited number of characters, because it ensures concise posts.

Give us a fun fact about yourself.
I really enjoy Bravo reality television as a guilty pleasure; whenever I am not doing anything or working out, it’s on.

Welcome to the team, Nicole.

Have any tips for Nicole as a first-time New Yorker? Post them in the comments.
