Tell us a little about yourself!

I’m a native New Yorker and I just graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University. I’m crazy about fashion, PR, marketing, and writing. I have a serious online shopping addiction and I’m always reading Refinery29. I’m super excited to be working with FindSpark!

How did you get your job at FindSpark?

I’m a writer, and I write a lot about career advice. I attended a FindSpark virtual workshop on using Twitter for your career, and it inspired me to tweet FindSpark’s founder Emily Miethner and ask to interview her for an article I was working on. The piece was eventually picked up by the Huffington Post and USA Today. Once I was on her radar, I applied for the position, and sent her an email to make sure she knew. She sent me the second round of the application the next day!

What part of working with FindSpark are you looking forward to most?

I’m really excited to learn more about event planning, since that’s something I have less experience with. I’m also doing a lot of work with our blog, which is so exciting to me because I love to write and edit. And I can’t wait to get to know all of our amazing community members, of course!

What’s your favorite part of living in New York City?

The shopping, for sure. I feel almost as at home in Bloomingdale’s as I do in my actual home.

What’s your favorite social network and why?

My sorority gave me the “Best InstaGame” award this spring, so I think I have to go with Instagram. It’s so easy to share little moments with all your friends.

If you could hear anyone speak at a future Findspark event, who would it be?

Sophia Amoruso, founder of Nasty Gal. Her business took off so quickly and she’s such an inspiration. I just finished #GIRLBOSS and was blown away by her story. I would love to get up close and personal with her at a FindSpark event!

What’s one fun fact about you?

Snooki from the Jersey Shore once made me a pizza! I was studying abroad in Florence while they were filming the show there. I love Italy, and while I’m definitely a New Yorker for life, I could see myself moving there for a couple of years.
