NY Creative Interns Conference Speaker Highlight: Matthew Knell, Social Media Director at AOL

We’re excited to announce another amazing speaker added to our line up for Finding and Following Your Passion on April 21, 2012. Meet the man who directs one of the internet’s biggest and oldest brands, AOL.

Matthew Knell Social Media Director AOL NY Creative Interns Speaker

Matthew Knell is a social media marketer, web technologist, community evangelist, and communications professional with a long history designing, developing, and marketing a wide array of successful digital products including a patented pay-per-click advertising system for About.com, the first social media strategies for JetBlue Airways, a social media platform for MTV Networks and social media marketing distribution strategies for CafeMom.

He is a proud graduate of Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, and serves as a Tech Mentor in Residence there. Currently, he is the Social Media Director at AOL. He also teaches Social Media and Web Marketing at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

He finds it very awkward to write in the third person, so why not just find him geeking out on social media, NYC History, or sports on his blog, Twitter or Tumblr.

We have tons more speakers to share with you, so check back often for new announcements. Head to our conference site for more details and to snag your early bird ticket before they’re all gone. You’ll meet amazing professionals like Matthew, and make great friends and future collaborators.

If you had a chance, what would you ask Matthew? Let us know in the comments.
