After graduating as a journalist from The College of New Jersey in 2007, Tammy had the unusual opportunity to “re-do” her teen years, starting her career as the prom web site editor for Seventeen, CosmoGIRL, and Teen, brands of the Hearst Corporation. Talk about irony: Growing up, Tammy was voted Most Shy in her high school yearbook and didn’t go to one school dance (but got really good grades!). At Hearst, she created programs like the Ultimate Prom concert and the charitable DonateMyDress.org campaign. In her day job, she reaches millions of teens every day as the social media voice of Seventeen. Under her leadership, Seventeen became the first teen magazine to reach 1 million Facebook fans and its Twitter account also had the fastest growth of any magazine in the industry.
