NY Creative Interns Conference Spotlight: Museum Publications Coordinator at the Asia Society Museum

We’re excited to announce another amazing professional to our line up for Find and Follow Your Passion on April 21, 2012. Meet Kate Williamson, Museum Publications Coordinator at the Asia Society Museum.

Kate Williamson arrived in New York City by way of Alabama with nothing but a suitcase and the unwavering belief that with the help of art she would change the world. She began her venture into the art world as an intern in the Education Department at the Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA) and after a brief stint in finance, Kate returned in 2009 as the Special Events Coordinator. A year later she was promoted to Curatorial Assistant which allowed her to focus on the fast-paced and challenging world of exhibitions. She now serves as the Museum Publication Coordinator at the Asia Society Museum where she specializes in exhibition and publication production.

Kate also co-founded ForByFor, a not for profit arts organization that supports and promotes socially engaged art and artists. For|By|For is art for the people, by the people, for the greater good.

We have tons more to share with you, so check back often for new announcements. Head to our conference site for more details. You’ll meet amazing professionals like Kate, and make great friends and future collaborators.

If you had a chance, what would you ask Kate? Check out her Twitter or website, or let us know in the comments.
