Our Kickoff Meetup is less than two weeks away!
We’re happy to announce a lot of fun details about the event, get excited!
Event Format
Our first segment “One Minute Internship Announcements” will allow professionals to talk about the internships available at their organization – in one minute or less! Our second segment is called “One Intern, One Pro, One Org: Three Awesome Stories.” Those involved will have the chance to talk about their inspirational story in a longer 5-7 minute feature. If you’re interested, click here and fill out the appropriate (short, we promise) form explaining why you would like the spotlight! Submissions are due November 30th and we will confirm presenters by December 2nd.
Free Giveaways
Reasons to get there early…free stuff! A number of first student attendees will have their choice of giveaways. Donations include copies of What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20: A Crash Course on Making Your Place in the World by Tina Seelig, Making Ideas Happen: Overcoming the Obstacles Between Vision and Reality
by Scott Belsky, Action Products from the Behance Outfitter, “Boba Fett was a Freelancer” t-shirts from Solvate, and more!
The Photobooth Project
Photographer Galo Delgado will be on site taking fun head shots of all attendees. We’ll be posting all the photos in our blog and other sites after the event.
Live Twitter Stream
Tweet with the hashtag #nyci1210 during the event, the stream will be projected on the wall throughout the event. Students can tweet their skills and questions and professionals can tweet what they look for in interns, tips, and tricks! We’ll be tracking the conversation so after the event we’ll post the re-cap in case you miss anything!
