We are very excited to announce our second Meetup!
The Failure Method: Why Taking Risks is Important to Being Successful
Our gracious venue sponsor is Meetup.com! How. Fantastic.
Special thanks to Kathryn Fink for being our Meetup contact and giving us this opportunity!
After listening to feedback from the last Meetup we’ve adjusted the format and are trying some new things. This Meetup will consist of an awesome panel, fun networking, and of course, internship announcements.
The Panel
The topic is: The Failure Method: Why Taking Risks is Important to Being Successful. We have some exciting speakers lined up (secret, secret!) but are still looking for more. If you know someone who would be interested in speaking to this topic, fill out the form here.
Networking
There will be time to mingle before and after the panel. Bring business cards, iPads with portfolios, bump your resume, whatever you’d like to do to showcase your awesomeness. Already have a spring internship? Think ahead to summer!
Internship Announcements
Anyone who attends our event and has an internship to offer they’d like to share can fill out this form. NYCi team members will them announce them during the event and introduce the submitter to the group. If you’re unable to attend but have an opportunity, please post it on our job board.
We will also have a Twitter Chat on Thursday February 10th from 8pm-9pm. The Hashtag for that and for use in tweets leading up to our next event is #nyci211
More exciting changes:
- There will be beer and pizza…yum!
- The event will cap at 90 people, so be sure to RSVP asap!
- We’ve added a $5 required donation to cover costs, ensure attendance, and to make our Meetups more awesome in general. Thank you for understanding!
And now, from the CEO of Meetup.com Scott Heiferman:
