We are thrilled to announce that the panel for our Interview Workshop, is made up of four amazingly intelligent creative professionals. The event is tonight and there are still a few spots left. RSVP here. We’re now sold out.

Today we’d like to introduce you to DANIEL KRIEGER.

What is your current position?
Photographer/Owner at Daniel Krieger Photography LLC.

What is the best part of your job?
Being able to do something creative and get paid for it was always a dream of mine. When I discovered I could do that with photography everything came together.

Can you tell us a funny interview story about yourself or someone you interviewed?
Part of my work schedule is editorial assignments and the other part is weddings. I sometimes get people from out of the country who are getting married here or doing an engagement session in NYC. One time I was doing a Skype interview with a potential wedding couple who was living in the Virgin Islands. I told my girlfriend to stay in the other room while I was doing my interview/meeting and she said ok. The next thing I know, I hear a noise behind me. She had to get into the bedroom (where my office is) and thought she could crawl along the floor on her stomach, but the way the camera was positioned you could see behind me – including the floor. And you know how when you’re on a video chat you can see yourself in a small window? Well, I saw myself and I saw my girlfriend crawling along the floor behiind me. The couple started laughing and I quickly turned the camera up so you couldn’t see her. I got off the interview with the couple and said to my girlfriend, “Thanks Jordana, I’m not getting that gig.” Crazily enough they hired me anyway and had a beautiful wedding!

What are you looking forward to most at the Interview Workshop?
I’m looking forward to sharing some of my experiences of interviewing people and being interviewed through the past few years.
