FindSpark is a community dedicated to setting up young professionals for career success. We know firsthand the importance of getting students involved outside of their college environments into the world that awaits them following graduation.
Partner with FindSpark and your students and alumni will get industry exposure and face time with professionals and recruiters at New York’s top companies — ranging from media giants and small businesses to innovative startups and successful freelancers.
Our programs and resources range from evening interactive interview workshops and full-day career conferences to free virtual workshops and our highly-curated job board.
FindSpark makes it easy for career centers, clubs, honors colleges, student life, and any department on campus to sponsor students to attend our events.
Our community members have been connected to and hired by companies like HBO, Univision, L’Oreal, Viacom, 87AM, IPG Mediabrands, Blue Apron, Master & Dynamic, The New York Times, and VaynerMedia.
We stress the importance of expanding the networks of emerging pros by connecting with other FindSpark community members. Our diverse community members come from over 500 schools, and over half have held a collegiate leadership role.
Beyond the obvious networking benefits of our programs, sponsoring your students is a fun way to get your campus engaged and to have an added incentive to participate in your career development activities.
Here’s just some of the ways schools have sponsored their students:
Ideas and enthusiasm they bring back to you from our events will motivate students to access your services and events.

Since 2011, we’ve produced 200+ programs online and offline, have 25,000+ members, and 30,000+ social media followers. Our community focuses on creative skill sets and creative industries, and our goal is to introduce our members to all the career opportunities that are out there, regardless of the environment they grew up in.
Our Founder & CEO Emily Miethner is also an award-winning speaker and adjunct professor, teaching career courses at School of Visual Arts and LIM College. She started FindSpark when she realized as a young creative herself that there was a lack of career resources for those who wanted to pursue creative fields and unconventional paths. Her goal is to take the negativity out of networking, and stress how critical it is for young people to build their own personal network early on in their careers.
As a college student she worked with her career center, alumni center, and the fine arts department to produce “Not All Artists Are Starving, A Night of Networking,” and the rest is history. She has spoken about the power of social media and community at dozens of events, conferences, colleges and universities, including The International Youth Leaders Assembly at The United Nations, Lean In New York, SXSW Interactive, Internet Week, Time Inc, Columbia University, Princeton University, and New York University, and has been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, and U.S. News World Report.
We work hard to make sure our events provide a comfortable and casual environment for everyone to connect. Our members love our programs, and we know your students will, too.
“As a Career Services office, we are passionate about helping students find career success and we’re happy to have FindSpark as a valuable resource and partner. Our office has recommended and sponsored students to attend the many FindSpark events. These events have led to our students finding internship opportunities, making connections in their industry of interest, and educating students on the many topics of careers given by industry professionals. We’ve found that FindSpark helped with opening many untapped doors for our students.” — Katherine Bradshaw Assistant Director, Internship Program Manager, Sarah Lawrence College
