New Museum. Graphic Design Intern. Seeking an intern to work in the External Affairs Department 3 days per week for 3 months. There is a $150/week stipend. Intern will work closely with the New Museum’s Graphic Designer on both printed and digital design projects. Candidates must be based in New York and have extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast- paced environment.
Marketing Intern. Immediate – June 2012. Marketing interns assist the Director of Marketing with marketing and communications activity for WP’s main stage season, events, and membership program. Attention to detail, the ability to self-motivate, collaborate, and maintain a sense of humor is a must. ARTnews Magazine. Spring 2012 Interns. Interns will assist with general office functions – opening mail, answering phones, sending faxes, etc. – and will help fact-check, conduct research, and carry out other projects as assigned. Photo intern will initiate requests, maintain files, and conduct photo research. The ideal candidate will have previous writing, editing, or photo-editing experience with print magazine journalism through internships or employment.
Literary Intern. November 2011 – May 2012. The Symphony Space Internship Program offers excellent professional/educational experience and training in the areas of arts administration and production. All interns are individually supervised by department staff and will have regular consultations with our Internship Program Consultant. All interns are involved in our day-to-day operations and attend departmental meetings and bi-weekly staff meetings.

HBO. Editorial and Publicity Assistant. Duties: Fulfill day-to-day administrative duties, including expense reports, phone coverage, maintaining press release files, support for other assistants, etc. Write copy for press materials, including overviews and releases on individual shows; proofread all press materials. Provide support at screenings and other special events.
Hearst Magazines. Photo Researcher. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, passionate about photography, art, fashion and lifestyle. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a world-wide network of photo sources to procure a diverse group of the best-quality imagery via major and obscure photo agencies, individual photographers, books, news services, fine art galleries/collections/artists and online portfolios to create a rich portfolio of images for consideration.
Sales Assistant. This position is responsible for daily maintenance of client’s schedule including brand allocation; ensuring schedules are airing correctly and efficiently solving discrepancies in a timely fashion. Sales assistants must also work with traffic to ensure correct copy is received and with ad agencies daily and build solid relationships. Strong organizational and math skills required as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Advertising Assistant. Duties: distribute weekly ad status reports and daily ad schedules, maintain tear sheet files, maintain media kit files in print and digitally, distribution of monthly memos – broadcast, pub status and ads, coordinate bills for payment, maintain advertising title files, general administrative work, releasing advertising insertion orders to vendors.
