Beginning in 2013, NY Creative Interns introduced a virtual event series to their calendar, Creative Q&A. A great resource for those unable to attend NY-located events, Creative Q&A is designed to give you access to a successful creative who will share insight into what it takes to break into and advance in a particular industry.
This Creative Q&A video featured John Sinclair, who is currently a writer/producer for MTV/On-Air Promos, focusing on brand positioning, strategy and on-air execution of comedy, short-form and scripted original programming. John tells his story of getting started in the media industry, and includes some insight on how to use opportunities to get your foot in the door:
